On the morning of September 8th, Guo Yurong, Chairperson of the University Council of SUSTech, attended the graduation ceremony of 2017 Freshmen Military Training Camp and gave an orientation speech to the 2017 freshmen.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Shenzhen National Defense Education and Training Base on Friday. About 1000 freshmen received military training and experienced military life during the 12-day camp.
Vice Chairperson Li Fengliang, Residential College (RC) Director Han Wei and the deans of the RCs attended.
University Chairperson Guo Yurong congratulated the 1005 freshmen in completing military training education this morning. Then she gave an orientation speech to the 2017 freshmen.
“It will be exciting to pursue your higher education at SUSTech, and try your best to make connections with the professors once classes begin on Monday. All the people you meet, the classes you take, and the labs you study in (during your college years) will have an impact on the rest of your life,” Guo encouraged.
After the training, the students will begin their new life at SUSTech.
